General Duties

保持工作场所的安全人人有责。职业健康与安全条例声明，雇主、主管和工人，每个人都有一定的责任归纳为总体职责。
It is everyone’s duty to keep the workplace safe. The OH&S Act says employers, supervisors and workers each have certain duties called General Duties.

工人的职责
General Duties of a Worker

职业健康及安全条例声明工人有特定职责，比如，你必须：
The OH&S Act says workers have certain duties. For example, you must:

・使用雇主让你使用的安全设备；
use the safety equipment your employer says to use;

・如果你看到破损的设备或安全设施，要告诉你的雇主；
tell your employer if you see any broken equipment or safety devices;

・向你的雇主汇报任何违反职业健康及安全的条例的情况。
report any violations of the OH&S Act to the employer.

你必须经常做到：
You must always:

・细心地爱护安全设备；
treat safety equipment with care and respect;

・避免使用可能伤及其他工人的设备或机械；
avoid using equipment or machinery that could harm another worker;

・在工作查过负起责任。
act responsibly in the workplace.

主管的职责
General Duties of a Supervisor

主管在保护工人健康及安全方面起着很重要的角色。就像雇主一样，主管必须采取每一个必要而合理的步骤来保护工人。
Supervisors play a very important role in protection worker’s health and safety. Just like employers, supervisors must take every reasonable step needed to protect workers.

主管也必须确保工人能做到：
Supervisors must also make sure that workers:

・使用安全的设备并遵守职业健康及安全条例；
use safety equipment and obey the OH&S Act;

・告诉工人任何现有的或可能的危险。
tell workers about any existing or potential dangers.

雇主的职责
General Duties of the Employer

雇主必须采取每一个合理的步骤来确保工人的健康及安全，雇主必须做好这些事情：
Employers must take every reasonable step to make sure workers’ health and safety is protected. Employers must also do these things:

・为工人提供他们需要的信息，培训和指导以保障他们的健康及安全；
give workers the information, training and supervision they need to protect their health and safety;

・确保遵循安全的工作程序和适当地使用设备；
make sure safe work procedures are followed and equipment is used properly;

・与健康及安全委员会和代表合作；
co-operate with the health and safety committee and representative;

・保持安全设备处于良好的状态。
keep safety equipment in good shape.
